workout summary

Either my watch was messed up before, or it's messed up now. I haven't got that figured out yet.


I was at the gym for an hour and the watch recorded a total calorie burn of 475. Here's what I did:

15 on the treadmil
1 min of resistance
3 tread
1 res
3 tread

5 tread
1 res

3 tread
1 res 15 tread

It felt really good to do all of that. I just want to figure out an accurate calorie burn measurment.

OK... Officially the percentage was 2.56 and I didn't even make the top 5 in the contest I was in. Now I am going to push harder.

Here I am with the hubby 4 years ago on our wedding day. Guess what the scales said... yeah, 150. I've certainly packed on the pounds. Can't really blame it on having a kid, but I try to. :)

Not a happy weight, but it was a happy moment. If I remember correctly we were headed to my company Christmas Party.

A little about me

I'm new to blogging, but this space is more for me to keep track of myself.

I have been on an 8-week journey to this point. I have lost 5 pounds. I still have 40 to go. I have been fighting with my weight for many years now and i just need to get into shape. I go to the gym 2 days a week. While there I do cardio and resistance training. I recently purchased a Leslie Sansone's walk at home video. I have done 1 mile using it. I plan to do more. my goal is to use the video 3 days a week and do a full three miles each time. I realized I need to work up to this. She works HARD in the video.

I have two great boys, and they are the second reason I am trying to get fit. One is 11 the other is 2, almost 3. They like or me to play with them outside and I am just too far out of shape for it, so I'm working on getting better.

My husband loves me just how I am and just wants me to be happy with me. (love him!!!)

My main reason for wanting to get into shape is so I will be okay looking in the mirror. I don't like what I see, so I am working on fixing that.
