UGH!

The last two days have been bad food-wise. I had been doing SO WELL! It's time to stop. Just because I am on "vacation" doesn't mean I get to pig out and ruin what I have begun. Monday and Tuesday have both been high calorie days. Today I didn't even exercise. Yesterday was better for that. I got up and exercised, then we walked the Science Center in STL. I have to get back in the groove!

I am trying to figure out just what to do about my knee. I know being lighter will help in the long run, but the physical act of getting there is killing it! I hate it! It makes me want to stop, but I will never lose any weight if I stop...

45 minutes

YUP! I went ahead and took advantage of the little guy napping with daddy and the big guy playing his video games. I didn't feel "done" at 30 minutes so I went on for 45 with varying intensities throughout. It felt great! That combined with 30 crunches and 15 back extensions gave me a burn of 650! WOOHOO!!!

I FEEL GREAT!!!!!

I almost forgot

Today I had an egg sandwich again (300). I have had 2 cups of sugared coffee so far, and may have a 3rd. I need to get Sweet-N-Low. the coffee is about (70) per cup. so that's (210) for all 3.

(510) for breakfast.

I will be more careful today.

I also need to get on the elliptical. I couldn't wake up yesterday, it just did not happen. I got up on time for it this morning, but didn't work out. Mom spent the night and I just couldn't make that much noise at 545 am.

UPDATE:

I had 5 oz of grapes for lunch/snack (100).

Supper was kinda sparse, but it was worth it. I had a hot dog (160) corn on the cob (60) and a salad (50). There was some butter in there too (30). So supper was (300).

We took the kids out for TCBY. I had a small soft serve swirl. YUMMY and only (220)!!

510 + 100 + 300 + 220 = 1130!!!!!!! So, I was able to have a GREAT day and eat good tasting food too!. I may just try to find something to fill in the other (70).

Thoughts...

I feel that I am getting great support at home. It is really good this time around. I have proven my commitment to my hubby bu getting up (almost) every morning for a workout. I FEEL much better. I was starting to feel depressed a few weeks ago and remembered how well I felt the last time I actively worked out. I do feel great! I really do! LOL

The only thing I occasionally have trouble with is hunger. I am eating considerably less that I used to. I have to be, or I wouldn't lose any weight. I am slowly getting used to the fact that I am hungry almost all day long. Drinking water seems to have the reverse effect on me. I feel more hungry when I drink water. There have been many chances for me to continue to overeat, but I am getting better with temptation.

I know I can do this. It wasn't all that long ago that I got down to 175. I KNOW I can do that again and better.

Catching up a bit

Lets start with supper Friday...

I had 600 cals after brakfast and lunch. ThenI had a Pepsi (250). !!! Well, I made up for it by eating a salad (350) for supper. I did have some chicken in it, but it was pretty good anyway. That made me just reach my total of (1200). Pretty good figuring.

So, On to Saturday...

I got a hankering for eggs. :-) I fixed 2 fried eggs (200) and put it on toast, lightly buttered (150) and 6 nilla wafers (100). (450) WOW! what a morning. I went a bit overboard.

Lunch was leftover pizza (400).

(850) at this point. Not much left for supper. We also had a night out planned. I tried to be good. I only had a salad. Well, between all the fixin's, salads end up having tons of cals! mine was almost (400)!

So that right there was (1250) it would have been fine, right? Well... Then comes the night out. I had 2 Bud Lights (110) each. (220). 1 MGD 64 (64), and 1 Bacardi Raz (225). (509) WOW! I need to plan a bit better for a night out. Salad all day with nothing but Italian dressing!

Let's call this a learning day. :-)

What a Friday

I really didn't even want to get out of bed this morning. I got to bed late last night. Somehow I found enough in me to get going though. I burned off 481 this morning. I guess I was walking slower than yesterday. The workout was on the same program. Oh well, it was still a good sweat this morning.

Now on to meal planning

B = banana (100) and a 1/2 and 1/2 (200). I just wanted it. :-) (300)

L = 1 slice of small pepperoni pizza (250) and an apple (50) (300)

Leaving (600) for later. I may snack on a banana this afternoon, might not though.

2 pounds in 1 week!!!

How excited am I ??? VERY !!!!

Yup, I got on the scale this morning and it showed that I lost 2 whole pounds! I'm floating right now!

My workout got harder this morning. I upped the tension and really felt it. I did 5 minutes on level 1, 5 on level 2, 10 on 3 (!!!), 5 on 2 and 5 on 1 again to finish it off. That combined with 30 crunches and 15 back extensions gave me a burn of 536. YAY! ME!

My meals today are similar to yesterday.

Breakfast = banana (110) and coffee with creamer (100). (210)

Lunch = Turkey sandwich (160), an apple (85), a banana (110), and some celery (~5). (360).

(570)

(630) left for supper. not bad at all.

Supper = 2 slices of a 12" pepperoni pizza (460). I had a pepsi (250) at scrapbooking. Bad me, I know, but DAMN it was good! (710)

Wednesday, almost one week.

I really didn't want to get up this morning. I got a call late last night to take my mom to work. I got back to sleep around 1130. That makes 530 WAY too soon to wake up. But I did it. I got up and out to exercise. I found my Mio last night. That wonderful watch helps me keep track of what I actually burn in a workout. I got 455 off this morning.

30 minutes elliptical
30 crunches (with an additional 6 pounds)
15 extensions

Today's menu:

Breakfast = banana (110) and capi/coffee (200). I gave myself the drink because of the total lack of sleep ;) (310)

Lunch = Turkey sandwich (160), an apple (85), and some celery (~5). (255)

(565) so far. (635) left for supper. Totally do-able.

Tomorrow I will have an "official" weigh-in.

Supper update = I made hamburger (300) and rice (100) with a side of broccoli (30). I even drank water! :-) (430)

(995) might be too little... but I could be wrong about supper. What a good day!

That's great! I had (575) available and ate less than that! WOOHOO! I'm going to congratulate myself by having a glass of tea! (25) !!!

I am quite proud of myself today. That doesn't happen often. :-) This is a long hard road and I am determined to see it to the end. My goal is to lose 8 pounds in 4 weeks. I KNOW I can do this!

Another day!

Another workout!

WOOHOO! So far so good. I got a full 30 minutes in again this morning along with 30 crunches and 15 back extensions. The house it HOT in the morning and it takes me forever to cool off again. I'm usually back to normal by the time I get to work. :-)

Breakfast was 2 glasses of water and 2 bananas (220).

Lunch will be mesquite smoked turkey breast (50) on a bun (110), and some celery sticks (~5). (165)

Supper will be nice! I have 815 cals left!!!!

I got the urge for starbursts (240) and caved to it. so... (625) with (575) for supper. *sigh* I'll get better and work extra for that...

5:45 am

...is WAY to early for me! I need to get up at 5:30 to have time to do everything i need to in the morning though.

However, I did get up and spend 30 minutes on the elliptical this morning. I followed it up with 30 crunches and 15 back extensions.

I'm getting a handle on my eating again. I am measuring portions eating JUST ONE portion. I feel like I am starving. I know that I am not. The increased activity along with watching how much food I eat will work.

I'll even keep track of my intake again. That always helps me, so here we go!

Breakfast = 1 banana (110) and 20 oz of 1/2 cap-1/2 coffee (150). Too many calories still in that, but OMG so good! I have already planned to have that once a week and today was it. From now on my morning coffee will only have sweet-n-low in it. 5 cals per cup, max. (260)

Lunch = Spaghetti and Meatballs (350), apple slices (55) and crystal light peach tea. This one is better because it was planned! (405)

(665 so far)

Snack = a few cubes of cheese (not sure here, will have to count what I eat and weigh a matching portion to figure cals when I get home.)

Supper = Hamburger (340), no bun, and tater tots (160) add 10 for the A-1. (510)

Countable for the day was 1175. Add in 300 for the cheese and we get a grand total of 1475. Not great but better than I have been. Here's to a better tomorrow.

I managed to last for a whole 30 minutes this morning! I am kinda proud of myself. I watched VH1's Jumpstart. They need to have fewer commercials. It isn't really much of a jumpstart to be bored during a commercial. I really need to remember to charge up my ipod. I have an exercise playlist on it.

Anywho... workout summary=

AND now instead of grabbing a shower and a nap, I am watching Little Einsteins because Ian woke up at the end of my workout. :-)

Re-Start

I made the decision last night to start working out again. I can never seem to find the time during the day, but I knew I could squeeze it in somewhere. What time am I exercising? The alarm is set for 5:45 am. I worked for 15 minutes this morning, and probably should have gone longer. I will work on that. My hope is to work for 30 minutes each morning taking Sundays off.

I have to get back on track food-wise as well. I have a scale and will begin weighing my food and watching my fat intake again. I am not happy with myself and I am the only one who can change it.
