Back to it!!

I got back on the elliptical last night. It is wonderful how refreshed I felt when I woke up this morning. I was feeling down and crabby yesterday, but felt chipper and happy today!

I hope I don't get sick any time soon! 2 weeks of fighting off breathing problems really put a damper on my weight-loss schedule. but...

15 minutes may not seem like much, but it sure did a world of good for me. I am going to do another 15 tonite and possibly add in some resistance.

Got sick, but making plans

Yup, been sick for over a week. Not eating well either. I hope I feel better by this weekend, or at least by monday. I want to get back to exercising. I miss it and it hasn't even been a whole week of not doing it. As soon as my lungs let me I am going to get back to it, and back better than ever. My plan is to do 30 minutes on the ellptical every other night, use the walk video on the other nights, and get "back on the ball". I have the system on this page ( click here ). I am going to start using it with the videos again. I have an ab-lounge too, but I'm not sure when I will get back to that one. I think I will let more weight come off first. OH, how can I forget. I went out and priced weights. They are pretty reasonable. I'm going to get a set of 10-ponders to use here too. I have 3 pound ones, but I'm past that! The kids love them though!

The atmosphere of the gym was nice when I had friends in there with me. Now I am just going to work out at home. It will be fun, my kids like to do the exercises with me; nothing better than promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Summary time

Didn't have the watch today, so here is a guess...

approx 500 cal burn off

Here's what I did:
7 minutes on treadmill
30 of heel raises
5 min elliptical
1 min leg extensions
5 min tread
1 min (another machine here, but i forgot what it was called)
5 min tread
1 min ab machine
15 min tread.

WOO!!! It really perked up my day. I didn't even want to work out but pushed myself anyway. I'm glad I did. I had my ipod with me, so that was good. I do, however, need to get a better selection of music to moved to.
